Offline Mode config

Similar to Vivek’s question, can offline mode be configured so that modules are applied at the system level—preventing individual users from making changes?

Additionally, I had understood that the recent offline mode updates would allow the feature to activate automatically whenever the device loses internet connectivity. However, it appears users are still required to manually enable offline mode before entering areas with low or no signal. If that’s the case, it feels like a significant missed opportunity. This approach essentially results in a slightly more streamlined version of a fundamentally flawed design, rather than a meaningful improvement.

Hi @Paul_Rowley for admin control for offline - this is on our roadmap but is not part of this first phase. We understand the value of being able to manage this for your users.

In regards to how the offline feature works - the app will move into offline mode if there is no signal automatically. The new daily download is an added feature that ensures users have data available in the event of an unexpected outage to continue their work.

The new Work Without Internet toggle is to manually over-ride the app and force it to stay in offline mode. This is to help reduce any issues in low connection or spotty connection areas. One of the largest issues we hear about is spotty connection, so this new toggle will prevent the app from trying to connect intermittently.
